We’re committed to engaging with you - our stakeholders - that’s the SGN Way.

“What we do as a business affects your lives and the communities we all live and work in. It’s vital we listen to what’s important to you, keep you informed about our business activities and ensure your feedback becomes part of our decision-making process and is part of our everyday way of working.”

    John Morea, Chief Executive Officer

We’re more than a network of pipes - people are everything to us.  That’s why we’re committed to listening to your feedback on key elements of our operations and activities.  We know that you want us to deliver gas safely, reliably and efficiently but how we do this is just as important.

We’re always looking to improve the way we do things by listening to your feedback. You can tell us what you think by emailing lets.chat@sgn.co.uk.

We want to earn the respect and trust of our stakeholders by always keeping our promises and being the best in everything we do – whether this is in energy delivery, engineering excellence, sustainability or the level of service we provide to our customers in keeping them safe and secure.

    Our stakeholder journey

In 2010, we began detailed discussions with our stakeholders and customers and your feedback helped us develop our proposed business plans for the eight-year period from April 2013 until March 2021.  Your feedback helped to shape our final business plans submitted to Ofgem in November 2011 and helped develop our key themes of acting safely, providing excellent service, being good neighbours and creating a business for the future.  By listening to your views we are able to work out how best to invest in our networks for the future.

    Who are our stakeholders?

Our stakeholders can be individuals, groups or organisations which are affected by or impacted by our daily operations and can therefore provide valuable feedback on our company strategy.  We will communicate with our stakeholders via a variety of channels including face-to-face, written, and online.

Have you been involved in our stakeholder process yet?  If you’d like to register as a stakeholder contact us at lets.chat@sgn.co.uk.
