• Glasgow (G31)
    Todd Street

    Start date: Ongoing
    Approximate duration: 11 weeks

We’re carrying out urgent repairs to our gas network in Todd Street, Glasgow.

To ensure everyone's safety, temporary four-way traffic lights are in place at Todd Street’s junction with Carntyne Road.

We’ve already carried out a temporary repair to our gas main in Todd Street however, we now need to make our repair permanent.

From Monday 14 January, we’ll need to temporarily close Carntyne Road between Duke Street and Myreside Street for the safety of our engineers and road users. We’ll also need to temporarily close Todd Street between Edinburgh Road and Duke Street.

Signed diversions will be in place for motorists via Cumbernauld Rd, B763 Cumbernauld Road, Duke Street, Shettleston Road, Hallhill Rd, Springboig Rd and Edinburgh Road.

Local access will be maintained however residents won’t be able to turn into Todd Street from Edinburgh Road. Instead, they can gain access via Cumbernauld Road, Aitken Street and Appin Road.

    The diversion route

All being well, we hope to complete our repairs by Monday 25 February 2019. We'll keep you updated on our progress right here.

We'd like to thank local residents and road users for their patience while this essential work is carried out.

Please note we're also working in Duke Street near it's junction with John Knox Street. You can find out more information here.
