Appliance Inspection in Oban, Thurso, Wick and Campbeltown
Between July 2014 and July 2016, over 10,800 appliances were successfully tested in the above gas networks. The results have enabled us to trial a new variation of gas which could lead to lower prices and more secure gas resources if used throughout Great Britain.
The second stage of the project required SGN to randomly select properties in your area that were previously tested in order to carry out a follow-up check on the appliances. As of May 2018, we have now completed an additional 2437 free appliance inspections that continue to contribute to the overall success of the project.
How you can help in completing the final stage of our project?
The current plan is to continue selecting properties at random up until 2020, for this reason you may receive a letter from SGN following which one of our Engineers will visit your property to re-test your gas appliances. We’ll be offering another free appliance safety check on all your gas appliances to say 'thank you'. The visit will take no more than half an hour.
These additional inspection results will be used to further compliment the evidence acquired, helping SGN to lead the way in energy innovation.
