Before you apply

Before you apply, there are a few things to think about.

Photos or plans

Please upload any photos, plans or drawings that might help us to plan your work. You'll be able to do this on the application form.

Permission

The land that we need to access must be owned by you, or you’ll need written permission from the landowner for the work. If you need planning permission, or a local authority permit, please make sure these are in place.

Your quote

Apply online to get a quote to alter the gas connection to any single domestic property.

If your work is a standard connection, we’ll email your quote immediately. If you don’t receive a quote, it could be because the information you provided doesn’t allow us to create an instant quote.

Our specialist team will review your application and send a quote as quickly as possible. They’ll let you know if we need anything else.

This could apply if:

  • You need more than 20 meters of pipe
  • You live in a flat on the second floor or above
  • You have a heated swimming pool
  • You have 5 bedrooms or more
  • You need an alteration to be able to turn your gas supply off more easily

Current leadtimes

Please note that we are experiencing a higher than usual demand on our teams this winter. Depending on where you live, the leadtimes for connections work could be up to 21 weeks.

You can use our quick estimate tool above to check accurate local leadtimes and costs.

Our dedicated Account Managers will discuss dates for your work once you have accepted and paid for your quote.

How it works

Once you’ve applied, our dedicated Connections team will guide you through getting connected.
