Double award win for our Customer Experience team

Our Customer Experience team has been recognised for leading the way in supporting our customers by winning two awards at last night’s prestigious UK Customer Experience Awards.

During the ceremony at Wembley Stadium, we won the gold award for Best Employee Driven Customer Experience and collected a bronze for Customer Experience Team of the Year. We were also shortlisted in the Best Customer Experience for Vulnerable Customers category as well as for Customers at the Heart of Everything – Large B2C Company.

The awards celebrate the best of customer service and marks the highest achievements by organisations across the UK who put their customers first. The award wins reflect our team’s dedication and commitment to improving the experience of customers who we help every day of the year, some living in vulnerable circumstances and requiring additional dedicated support.

Maureen McIntosh, our Director of Customer Service, said: “These awards are fantastic achievements for SGN and for all our people from field to office, who take care of our customers in a way that comes straight from the heart.

“I am always so proud when we are recognised for the hard work we all do every day and, in some of the most difficult of times, we pull together and show we care. We never want to walk away from a customer in need and have built a support network to ensure we never have to. Because of this, we have helped so many vulnerable people in so many ways and together we make a real difference.”

The awards come following our recent wins at the BIG Biodiversity Challenge for Habitat Creation: Project of the Year (Medium to large scale) and Hannah Moseley-Brown winning Apprentice of the Year at the Energy & Utility Skills annual awards.
