SGN IT team collects the Rising Star award on behalf of Nataliia Gavryliuk on stage in front of audience.

Our Senior Data Insight Analyst Dr Nataliia Gavryliuk has won the Rising Star category at this year’s UK IT Awards.

Nataliia received the accolade for IT professionals aged 30 or under who demonstrates outstanding commitment and achievement in their work, as well as displaying quality and professional performance in the application and management of IT.

She was recognised for delivering exceptional life-saving solutions for our workforce addressing employee fatigue. Nataliia’s insights enabled SGN to discover working patterns that contribute to reduced fatigue, accidents and injuries.

Since then, Nataliia continues to champion analytics that drive safety, sustainability and innovation at SGN.

Our Head of Architecture and Data Shuchi Nagar said: “This award is testament to Nataliia’s consistent display of innovation and professionalism since joining SGN as a graduate.

“Nataliia has been instrumental in generating outcomes so SGN can continue to keep everyone safe and warm. This has created value for gas consumers and our colleagues alike. Her efforts have directly benefitted the company as we continue to build on our safety culture and look after our employees through management of fatigue.”

Unfortunately, Nataliia was unable to attend the ceremony in person on Wednesday 9 November. Colleague Tiera Box accepted the award on her behalf.

Commenting on the award, Nataliia said: “I’m delighted to have been recognised for demonstrating outstanding commitment and achievement in my work by my colleagues and the industry. It is a great honour to receive such a prestigious award from BCS and on behalf of the IT industry.

“I’m very thankful to Shuchi for nominating me and grateful to SGN for giving me the opportunity to progress my career and be a part of this award. Thanks also go to my IT colleagues for their huge support at the interview stage and at the ceremony.”
