Working to keep you safe and warm
The next phase of this work is in the area of South Anderson Drive, Aberdeen and in order to carry out the necessary works safely some road closures and restrictions will be required.
The works began on 6 July and all going well, will last for approximately six weeks.
What we will be doing
Replacing the old metal pipe with a new durable plastic pipe which has a lifespan of around 80 years.
When we'll be working
Our project will start on Monday 6 July and will last for approximately six weeks.
The works began on 6 July and all going well, will last for approximately six weeks. The Southbound carriageway of South Anderson Drive, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Broomhill Road and Ruthrieston Road, will be closed during this period.
Access to properties in the vicinity will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There is an alternative route available via Broomhill Road & Great Southern road. Please plan ahead, leave extra time for your journey and consider using the alternative route.
SGN have worked closely with Aberdeen City Council to plan these essential works in order to minimise disruption as much as possible whilst these upgrades to the gas network are carried out.
These measures are necessary to protect public safety during works from SGN.
