Aldershot, Queens Avenue

We're carrying out essential gas network upgrades in the Queens Avenue area. This work will ensure a continued safe and reliable supply of gas is delivered to homes and businesses in Aldershot.

Our engineers will be working extended hours where possible to reduce the overall length of our works.

 

Princess Way – from Monday 9 March for approximately six weeks

Our engineers will be working in Princess Way from the junction of Wellington Avenue to the junction of the High Street. To keep everyone safe, we will need to temporarily close the road around our worksite. Signed diversions will be in place and access will be maintained and access will be maintained for residents and businesses.

 

Hospital Hill – from Monday 9 March for approximately six weeks

We will be working in Hospital Hill from the junction of Wellington Avenue to the junction of Pennefather's Road. This part of the road will need to be temporarily closed for this time. Signed diversions will be in place and access will be maintained for residents and businesses.

 

Fleet Road – Tuesday 21 April for approximately six weeks

Our engineers will be moving to Fleet Road, from outside the Hotel to the junction of Farnborough Road. We will need to temporarily close the road around our worksite for everyone's safety. Signed diversions will be in place and access will be maintained for residents and businesses.

 

Farnborough Road – 21 April for approximately six weeks

To safely complete the work in this road, we will need to temporarily close the road at the junction with Fleet Road. Signed diversions will be in place and access will be maintained for residents and businesses.

 

Pausing our work for public event

Due to a major public event on Military Grounds, The Gurka Cup 2026, all works will cease on Fleet Road and Farnborough Road at 4pm on Friday 22nd May and roads will be fully open to traffic. 

Works will resume under full closure at 6am on Monday 25th May, as agreed with the local authority.
