We're working to upgrade our gas network in the Tichbourne Down area of Alresford.
I & G Contractors Ltd will be working on our behalf Monday to Friday and Saturdays as required from Monday 6 January in the following roads:
New Farm Road
From Monday 6 January for approximately two weeks.
To ensure the safety of everyone around our work site, we will temporarily need to close the road between the junctions of Perins Close and Dorian Grove.
A signed diversion will be in place and access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
Grange Road
From Monday 13 January for approximately sixteen weeks.
We will need to temporarily close this road while we complete our work. A signed diversion will be in place and access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
We will also be working in Salisbury Road from Monday 13 January to Friday 21 February and we will be asking road users to ‘give and take’ past our work site.
South Road junction with Grange Road
From Monday 17 February for approximately five weeks, we will need to close this junction. A signed diversion will be in place and access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
Tichbourne Down including the junction of Sun Lane
From Monday 26 May until the beginning of February 2026, we will need to temporarily close the whole road. A signed diversion will be in place and access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
We appreciate this work may be disruptive for local residents and road users and we assure you we’ll be doing everything we can to complete these works as quickly and as safely as possible.
