We're replacing our gas network in New Street, Aylesbury. This project will replace old metal gas pipes with new PE pipe to ensure the local community continues to receive a safe and reliable gas supply.
Our contractor I&G Contractors will be completing this project on our behalf and will be working from Saturday 18 January for approximately five weeks.
For everyone's safety around our work site, we'll need to close New Street from the roundabout with Buckingham Road to the junction of Fleet Street.
Access will be maintained for residents and businesses and a signed diversion will be in place. Please notify any visitors and delivery drivers about the road closure.
Buses will continue from the Cambridge Street end to the Buckingham Road end but not the other way. We recommend checking with your bus company for any changes to times or routes.
We understand people can get frustrated by roadworks so we only use traffic management which we feel is efficient enough to complete these works safely for the public and our engineers.
What this means for you

- Please notify any visitors or deliveries that they will need to use the diversion.
