We're upgrading our gas network in the Bonnyton Moor Road area of Newton Mearns, to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local community for years to come.
Our 11-month long project has been agreed with the local authority.
Bonnyton Moor Road
For the duration of our work, Bonnyton Moor Road will be fully closed in sections to ensure everyone's safety. Access will be maintained for residents at all times, and local diversion routes will be in place.
The first phase of the Bonnyton Moor Road closure will begin on Monday 27 January 2025, between Humbie Road and 5 Bonnyton Farm.

Humbie Road
We'll also be working in Humbie Road during the early stages of this project. This work will be carried out in two phases as follows:
- From Monday 27 January, temporary three-way traffic lights will be at the roundabout where Humbie Road meets Floors Road for approximately three weeks
- From Friday 14 February, Humbie Road will be closed both ways between Floors Road and Titwood Road for approximately two months. Signed diversions will be in place and access will be maintained for residents at both ends of the closure.

Our engineers will be working five days a week, however will work weekends and extended hours where possible.
We know this is a busy route and we'll do everything we can to minimise disruption for local residents, businesses and commuters. We'll provide updates on our progress on this page throughout our project.
