From Wednesday 12 November, we’ll begin upgrading our gas network in the East Greenlees Crescent area of Cambuslang.
These essential works have been planned in consultation with South Lanarkshire Council and involve replacing old, metal pipes with new longer-lasting modern plastic ones. This will ensure we can continue to provide homes and businesses in the community with a safe, reliable and efficient gas supply for decades to come.
Our work will begin on Wednesday 12 November and last for approximately 12 weeks. It will be carried out in three phases to help minimise disruption.
- Phase 1 - East Greenlees Avenue, 12 November to 3 December
- Phase 2 - East Greenlees Crescent, 3 December to 24 December
- Phase 3 - East Greenlees Drive, 5 January to 19 January
We recognise roadworks can be frustrating, and we're sorry for any inconvenience this essential work may cause. However, the new plastic pipe has a lifespan of 80 years, which means when the work is complete, nearby residents and businesses will be able to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable gas supply long into the future.
