We're preparing to carry out essential network upgrades in the Pine Ridge area of Carshalton to ensure nearby homes and businesses continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply.
Our engineers will be replacing our old metal mains with new plastic pipe from Monday 2 February. This work is expected to last approximately nine weeks.
To ensure everyone's safety, we will need to close sections of the following roads around our site:
- Dalmeny Road - from Mon 2 Feb for approx. eight weeks
- Hawthorn Avenue, between Dalmeny Road and Carrig - from Mon 2 Mar for approx. five weeks
- Mount Park and Mount Way - from Mon 9 Mar for approx. four weeks
- Brambledown Road, near to its junction with Dalmeny Road - from Mon 16 Mar for approx. three weeks
Access will be maintained to properties located within the closure area. All other motorists should follow the signed diversion route.
We appreciate roadworks can be frustrating. However, the new plastic pipe has a lifespan of approximately 80 years. This means once our work is done, residents and businesses will be able to enjoy a safe and reliable gas supply for many years to come.
