Our engineers have been working to upgrade our gas network in the Station Approach area of Chislehurst since February.
For everyone's safety, Station Approach has been closed to motorists near to its junction with Summer Hill.
Unfortunately, there are several utility pipes located underground in this area and we're struggling to access one of our pipes that needs urgent attention due to the proximity of other infrastructure.
To ensure a safe a reliable supply of gas continues to be delivered to nearby properties, we're making urgent repairs to this particular pipe and we're planning to return and replace it at a later date.
We require specialist equipment to carry out the final repairs to this pipe and we're waiting for these to be delivered to site. We'll be providing details of our progress on the repair, and subsequent replanned future replacement project, here.
