We're carrying out essential gas network upgrades in the Downs Road area. This work will ensure a continued safe and reliable supply of gas is delivered to Coulsdon homes and businesses.

What we're doing
We'll be replacing our old metal pipes in the Downs Road area. This is part of our 30-year programme of work to replace our old mains, reaching the end of their useful lives, with new, reliable plastic pipe.
When we're working
Our work will start on Monday 24 November and this project is expected to last approximately four weeks.
Where we'll be working
To ensure everyone's safety while we upgrade our network, temporary traffic lights will be installed around our work area in the following roads.
- Woodfield Hill and Hollymead Road junction (from Mon 24 Nov)
- The Netherlands and Woodplace Lane junction (from Mon 24 Nov)
- Wilhelmina Avenue and The Netherlands junction (from Mon 1 Dec)
Each set of lights will be in place for approximately three weeks.
We understand roadworks can be frustrating. However, this work is essential to ensuring nearby properties continue to receive a safe and reliable supply of gas.
