We're upgrading our gas network in Cowdenbeath. This work is vital to ensure a safe and reliable gas supply for local homes and businesses in the area for years to come.
We have worked with Fife Council to reorder some of the phases to avoid clashing with upcoming events in the area and to minimise the disruption for residents and visitors.
UPDATE 8 JULY 2026
Our work in Cowdenbeath is progressing well. We have completed the initial phases of the project and will now be working in Foulford Road, Primrose Lane and Perth Road over the next 14 weeks.
Here's where we'll be working and the associated traffic management we'll need to put in place to safely access our gas network.
Foulford Road
Our work in in Foulford Road is currently ongoing with a road closure in place for a further four weeks.
Primrose Lane area
Works are scheduled to commence on 20 July 2026, with a road closure at Primrose Lane. The diversion will be through Broomfield Road and will be in place until 30 August 2026.
Perth Road, between Foulford Road and Alexander Street junctions:
Works are scheduled to commence on 5 August 2026, under traffic lights and will last approximately ten weeks.
