SGN are currently carrying out a major upgrade of the gas network in Cowdenbeath. This work is vital to ensure a safe and reliable gas supply for local homes and businesses in the area for years to come.
We have worked with Fife Council to reorder some of the phases to avoid clashing with upcoming events in the area and to minimise the disruption for residents and visitors.

Phase 1 & 2 – completed early 2026.
Phase 3 – Lochgelly Road – Traffic lights through works until estimated completion date of 25 May 2026.
Phase 4 – Fouldford Road to Leauchatsbeath Drive – Begins on 25 May 2026 for Approximately 6 weeks
Phase 5 – Perth Road – Begins on 29 June 2026 for Approximately 4 weeks
Phase 6 – Fouldford Road – Begins on 27 July 2026 for Approximately 6 weeks
