SGN and our contractor I&G Contractors Limited will be carrying out essential gas main replacement works on London Road, Hartley Wintney from Monday 14 September to Monday 18 December.
We'll be working in London Road, between Thackhams Lane and Peel Court, to replace old metal gas pipes with new plastic pipes to help maintain a safe and reliable gas supply and reduce the risk of future gas leaks.
Traffic management
Due to the location of the gas main, temporary multi-way traffic lights will be in operation on London Road throughout the works.
Side road closures
It will be necessary to have the following side road closures in place:
- Grange Road
- The junction of Grange Road and London Road will be closed for the full duration of the project.
- This area is required for site welfare facilities and material storage.
- A signed diversion route will be in place.
- Dilly's Lane
- The junction of Dilly's Lane and London Road will be closed for approximately four weeks from Monday 14 September.
- A signed diversion route will be in place.
We recognise these works may cause disruption to residents and businesses and we will work to complete them as safely and quickly as possible.
