Following our work in 2023 to upgrade the gas network in Heathfield Road, we are returning to complete this gas main replacement project. Our contractor, Forefront Utilities, will start this work on 21 July, and it is anticipated to be ongoing for 12 weeks.
The project will involve us replacing the old, metal pipes with new longer longer-lasting plastic ones to ensure local homes and businesses continue to receive a reliable gas supply.
To ensure the safety of everyone around our work site, we will need to work along the road with a rolling road closure from the junction with Heathfield Square to the junction of Magdelin Road.
We appreciate how disruptive traffic management is for residents and road users. Our engineers are committed to doing everything they can to complete these works as quickly and as safely as possible.
