We're working to upgrade our gas network in the Inverkip Road area of Greenock, to ensure local homes and businesses continue to receive a reliable gas supply.
This work involves replacing our old, metal pipes, with new plastic pipe.
This phase of our project has been planned in consultation with the local authority, and will take approximately 16 weeks to complete.
To minimise disruption and complete our work as quickly as possible, we'll be working in multiple streets at the same time.
Below is a list of our working areas and approximate start dates and durations:
- Rose Street - 31 March (approx 4 weeks)
- Dunlop Street (section one) - 5 April (approx 4 weeks)
- Rankin Street - 7 April (approx 8 weeks)
- Gael Street and Jura Street - starting 14 April (approx 3 weeks)
- Skye Street - 21 April (approx 3 weeks)
- Ioan Street - 28 April (approx 3 weeks)
- Bow Road - 2 May (approx 8 weeks)
- Waverley Street - 12 May (approx 4 weeks)
- Bannockburn Street - 19 May (approx 4 weeks)
- Abbott Street -19 May (approx 6 weeks)
- Dunlop Street (section two) - 26 May (approx 5 weeks)
- Drummond Street - 2 June (approx 4 weeks)
After this phase of our project is complete, we'll begin phase two in other surrounding streets where some traffic management will be required. We'll provide an update on this phase closer to the start date.
Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we work to upgrade our gas network.
