Working to keep you safe and warm

What we're doing

We'll be replacing our old metal pipes in the area. This is part of our 30-year programme of work to replace our old mains, reaching the end of their useful lives, with new, reliable plastic pipe.

When we're working

Our work will start on Thursday 23 July and the project is expected to last approximately three weeks.

Where we'll be working

Our engineers will be upgrading our network along Pilgrims Way, between its junctions with Childsbridge Lane and Park Hill Road.

To safely carry out this work, Pilgrims Way will be closed to motorists around our site.

A signed diversion route will be in place for affected road users. Motorists will need to follow the diversion route via Childsbridge Lane, Church Street, A25, A225 and Pilgrims Way East.

Buses will be diverted around our closure too. Please check with your service provider for any updates to stops or timetables.

Access will be maintained for residents and business located within our closure area.

We understand roadworks can be frustrating. However, this work is essential to ensuring nearby properties continue to receive a safe and reliable supply of gas.
