From 21 August, SGN will commence a programme of work to replace the gas mains in Stevenston Road, Kilwinning. Barring any engineering difficulties, the work is expected to be complete within three weeks.
These essential works will involve replacing an old, metal pipe with a new longer longer-lasting plastic one so that we can continue to provide businesses and the wider community with a safe and efficient gas supply.
The work will mostly be completed out of the highway but due to the location of the gas pipes in the roads, and for everyone’s safety, two-way traffic lights will be in place on Stevenston Road.
