We’re working along the Moss Wood footpath to carry out critical repairs to our gas network, to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local community.
To allow our engineers to carry out this essential work, the footpath will be closed at various times.
Because of the nature of the work, we won’t be able to give advance notice of the closures, but a signed diversion route, shown on the map below, will be always in place for pedestrians and cyclists.
Due to the location of our pipes, we are facing engineering and environmental challenges. To gain access to our gas pipe, we have been given permission to remove some trees in the wood. When our work is finished, we will be re-planting the same number of tree's that have to be removed.
All being well, we hope to have completed our work by the end of August.
