Working to keep you safe and warm

What we're doing

We'll be replacing our old metal pipes in the Farm Lane area. This is part of our 30-year programme of work to replace our old mains, reaching the end of their useful lives, with new, reliable plastic pipe.

When we're working

Our work will be carried out in two phases. The first will start on Monday 24 November and we will return in February 2026 to carry out the second phase.

Where we'll be working

Our engineers will be upgrading our network in the following roads. To ensure everyone's safety, we need to install some temporary traffic measures.

Phase one

The first phase of our network upgrade project will start on Monday 24 November.

  • Farm Lane will be closed for approximately four weeks between its junctions with Woodcote Road and The Ridge.
  • The Ridge will be closed for approximately two weeks near to its junction with The Farm.

Phase two

Our engineers will return on Monday 16 February to complete the second phase of our work.

  • Farm Lane will be closed for approximately one week near to its junction with Woodcote Road.
  • Temporary traffic lights will be installed along Woodcote Road near its junction with Farm Lane.

Access for residents and businesses will be maintained around our closure areas. Signed diversions will be in place for all other affected road users.

We understand roadworks can be frustrating. However, this work is essential to ensuring nearby properties continue to receive a safe and reliable supply of gas.
