We're carrying out essential gas network upgrades in the Three Elm Lane area. This work will ensure a continued safe and reliable supply of gas is delivered to Tonbridge homes and businesses.
Working to keep you safe and warm
What we're doing
We'll be replacing our old metal pipes in the area. This is part of our 30-year programme of work to replace our old mains, reaching the end of their useful lives, with new, reliable plastic pipe.
When we're working
Our work will start on Wednesday 22 July and is expected to take six weeks to complete.
Where we'll be working
To ensure everyone's safety, the following roads will be closed to motorists around our site so we can safely access and replace our underground pipes:
- Three Elm Lane
between Poplar Farm Oast and its junction with Hartlake Road, from Wed 22 Jul for approximately six weeks - Hartlake Road
between Goldhill House and its junction with Three Elm Lane, from Wed 22 Jul for approximately three weeks - Victoria Road
near its junction with Three Elm Lane, from Tue 28 Jul for approximately two weeks
Signed diversions will be in place for affected road users, while access will be maintained to residents and businesses located within our closure area.
We understand roadworks can be frustrating. However, this work is essential to ensuring nearby properties continue to receive a safe and reliable supply of gas.
