Our challenge

We aim to predict and prevent safety risks for field workers by looking at past safety incidents, near misses, and injuries.

Our project

In the early stages of the Predictive Safety Interventions project, we teamed up with FYLD to create an AI model that predicts safety risks. The model is now in the Beta phase and is improving with new data. This includes human factors like fatigue and changes in voice, as well as live data like traffic and roadworks. We’re also adding advanced object recognition to spot unsafe conditions or behaviours.

Key benefits

Our goal is to develop an AI tool that gives real-time safety advice to field teams and managers. It will share lessons from past incidents to help avoid future risks. If successful, this AI model will be used across all SGN field operations, reducing safety incidents and cutting costs by preventing accidents before they happen.
