Connections documents and charges

Our 'Getting Connected' guide has more information for domestic customers.

It’s illegal for anyone to carry out any work on our network (including new connections and alterations) unless they’re suitably qualified under the Gas Industry Registration Scheme. A list of registered providers can be found on the Lloyds Register website. We’ll need to approve any third party's work in advance to make sure they meet all our safety requirements. If they go ahead without our approval, we may have to cut off your gas and bill you for any resulting repair work. You can find further details in this leaflet from the ENA.

This is for customers looking to dig their own trenches and restore the surface areas themselves after we've completed work.
