Our pioneering innovation work has been honoured at the 2025 Gas Industry Awards, organised by the Institution of Gas Engineers & Managers (IGEM) and the Energy and Utilities Alliance (EUA).
Yesterday, at the ceremony in London, we were awarded for our Predictive Safety Interventions initiative, developed with FYLD, and our Stent Bag product, which Sarco helped us to deliver.
Project leads Oliver Machan and Tom Jackson, from our Innovation team, collected the trophies at a ceremony in London attended by more than 100 gas professionals. They are pictured above with our Chief Operating Officer Darren Elsom (left). Darren is President Elect of IGEM.
In addition, Flowstop Services Ltd were named winner of the Net Zero Innovation Award. They have worked alongside us and ULC Technologies to implement a compressor that reduces methane emissions.
The Gas Industry Awards celebrate the very best people, projects and companies in the UK gas industry. There were 130 nominations that showcased the innovation, dedication and impact driving the gas sector forward.
This year we were finalists in four categories, including Customer Service and Business Innovation.

Stent Bag product:

Predictive Safety Interventions:
