Project overview
After close consultation with Falkirk Council, we're working to extend our gas mains network to connect the villages of Whitecross, Letham, California, Avonbridge, and Slamannan.
If you live in any of these villages, you may have the opportunity to connect your property to our gas network.
All local authority owned properties in Whitecross, Letham, California, Avonbridge, and Slamannan will be offered a connection to our gas network, while residents who privately own their property will have the chance to apply for a connection.
We started our project in October 2023, and it will take until July 2025 to complete. Depending on which town you stay in, a connection to our gas network should be available to you between April 2024 and July 2025.

While we work
To ensure everyone’s safety while we work, temporary traffic lights, road closures and some parking suspensions will be in place for the duration of our work.

Our work in Letham has progressed well and we are now connecting the final handful of properties to our new gas network.
All being well, this will be completed by the end of September 2024.

Our work in California has progressed well and we are now connecting the final properties in the area to our new gas network.
All being well, this will be completed by the end of December 2024.
We've completed 85% of our work laying out new gas main from California to Avonbridge.
Once this section of work on our new gas pipeline is complete, it will join the new section of pipeline coming from Backbraes.
We'll then be working cross country between Avonbridge and Slamannan from November 2024. Local road closures and temporary traffic lights will be in place at times.
Slamannan is the final village which will be connected to our gas network during this project.
We expect to reach Slamannan and have the gas mains commissioned ready for service connections around July 2025.
