Polly Heyburn helps a customer in the community.

Our commitment to our customers has been recognised at the 2024 Gas Industry Awards.

Today at the ceremony in London, Polly Heyburn won the Customer Service award.

Polly, our Customer Experience Manager, has gone from strength to strength since joining us 20 years ago, largely driven by her own commitment to personal development.

The judges said how Polly has a high personal commitment to customer service, championing it in all circumstances and shows true leadership.

They commented: “'Epitomising all that is good in people’ are the words used to describe her, and the work she does is clearly from the heart and with genuine affection. She is a shining star for the gas industry and should be proud of the work she does.”

The Gas Industry Awards are organised by the Institution of Gas Engineers & Managers (IGEM) and the Energy and Utilities Alliance (EUA), celebrating the very best people, projects and companies in the UK gas industry. This year we were finalists in five categories, including Net Zero Innovation, Early Career Achievement, Investment in People and Business Innovation.

It follows our success in May this year at the prestigious CCA Global Excellence Awards where our Customer Service team won gold in two categories and two special recognition awards.
